Hindi Diwas celebrations were held here at Aditya PG College here on Thursday. Speaking on this occasion Naidu told that the Hindi language played a key role in the National Movement.

Hindi Diwas celebrations were held here at Aditya PG College here on Thursday. Speaking on this occasion Naidu told that the Hindi language played a key role in the National Movement.

He further said that after Independence, Hindi was made the National Language of India. Speaking on this occasion Principal Srinivasa Rao explained that the Hindi Language was recognised as our national language by our constitution under article 351 on September 14, 1949.

From then onwards every year September 14 is celebrated as Hindi Diwas. He further explained that after the Chinese Language Mandarin, our language Hindi stands second in the largest spoken language in the world. He further told that Hindi is widely spoken in many Indian States.

Later prizes were distributed to the winning students in elocution and essay writing competitions. Principal Srinivasa Rao distributed the prizes to the students. Librarians Reddy, Manjula Rani and Mumtaz have also participated.
