Guntur: Cyber security and ethical hacking expert Mahesh Rakheja, said that engineering students are required in strengthening cyber security, in the backdrop of the encouragement given from the Central and State governments to encourage cashless transactions.

He addressed a meeting held in Vignan Lara Engineering College on Monday. He said that a three-day training should be arranged for the students to make them socially responsible. Speaking on this occasion, he said that skills of the engineers are useful in strengthening cyber security in registration, revenue, software and banking. A threat was posed due to increased use of smart phones and WhatsApp and suggested to take precautionary measures.

Vignan University dean IT Services Prof Krishna Kishore, urged users to maintain secrecy while using smart phones. He urged the students to improve technical knowledge to face competitions.
