Swachh Survekshan teams to visit Guntur
GMC Commissioner Challa Anuradha, said Swachh Survekshan teams from Delhi will visit Guntur city very soon and give grades for sanitation maintenance. She said that there is a need to get better grade compared to last year.
Guntur: GMC Commissioner Challa Anuradha, said Swachh Survekshan teams from Delhi will visit Guntur city very soon and give grades for sanitation maintenance. She said that there is a need to get better grade compared to last year.
She addressed the Swachh Survekshan -2018 awareness programme at GMC office on Wednesday.
Speaking on this occasion, she said that the teams to visit Guntur city would inspect sanitation at various places and interact with the people to take feedback. The teams would study the sanitation condition in the city and give grade. She directed the officials to improve sanitation in the city.
She said that about 1,600 sanitation workers were working in the city apart from the GMC sanitation workers who were clearing the garbage piled up in the dustbins. She sought cooperation of the people for better maintenance of the sanitation.
MLA Mustafa said there was a need to improve sanitation in the city and requested to set up dustbins near the shops in the Guntur West Assembly constituency limits.
