Vijayawada: Former MLC KS Lakshmana Rao, demanded that the government accept justified demands of the Progressive Democratic Students Union (PDSU) immediately.
Students under the banner of PDSU on Monday launched 48-hour relay fast, demanding that the government fill up the vacant posts and release Rs 2,500 crore for fee reimbursement and scholarships.
KS Lakshamana Rao visited the relay fast camp launched here and expressed solidarity to the students. Speaking on this occasion, he said that there was a need to check students’ suicides and fill the vacant posts immediately.
He stressed on the need to increase mess charges and cosmetic charges immediately and extend mid-day meal scheme to the Intermediate students also.
