Engg students’ visit wagon workshop

Vijayawada: About 120 mechanical engineering students of Chaluvadi Mallikarjuna Rao Potti Sriramulu College of Engineering and Technology visited Railway Wagon Workshop at Guntupalli near Vijayawada on Sunday.

Trainee technician Bhargava explained about rail engine, how it works, performance of various machines, goods trains and how they work, air brakes, wheel movement, plating and painting section. He explained how to repair air brakes, wheels and how to fit the wheels to the engines.

The Assistant professor, Mechanical Engineer department, Sri Latha, said the industrial visits would improve technical knowledge of the students. She stressed on need to improve technical knowledge to get better placements.
