The teams arrived in Ongole on Saturday and attended vigorous practice sessions at the ground managed by the Prakasam District Cricket Association. It is expected that the pitch curator Krishna and Groundman Ravi prepared the pitch as a batting pitch.
On Sunday, match referee Valmik Buch, umpires Premdeep Chatterjee, Bharathi Vij, anti-corruption officer Patel inspected the pitch, along with the curators and PDCA officials, and expressed satisfaction over the pitch.
Ch Pratap Kumar, secretary of PDCA, said that the association has made elaborate arrangements for the match, including the seating for the spectators. He said that Madhya Pradesh team would be visiting Sarma College ground for the first time and was busy in the practice on par with the Andhra team in the nets.
