Triple talaq bill benefits Muslim women: MLA
Urban MLA, Dr Akula Satyanarayana has said that the triple talaq bill was introduced in the Parliament for the benefit of Muslim women. Prime Minister Narendra Modi brought the bill as deterrence to instant talaq in the Muslim community. Triple talaq had caused injustice in providing Muslim women with equal rights.
Rajamahendravaram: Urban MLA, Dr Akula Satyanarayana has said that the triple talaq bill was introduced in the Parliament for the benefit of Muslim women. Prime Minister Narendra Modi brought the bill as deterrence to instant talaq in the Muslim community. Triple talaq had caused injustice in providing Muslim women with equal rights.
Addressing Muslim women in his office here on Friday, he said that Muslim women need not worry about triple talaq as it was not easy to desert a Muslim woman after marriage.
“Many Muslim women in the country are hailing the bill which will soon become an act,” he claimed.
Modi had been treating all the communities equally, he added.Muslim Minority Morcha leaders SK Ghouse, Parheen, Basha and many others were seen at the MLA’s office.
