Eluru: One-Town Circle Inspector Adapa Naga Murali has asked the bullion and jewellery merchants in the city to install closed circuit cameras (CC cameras) in their shops to keep a close watch on untoward incidents around the premises. The CI conducted a meeting with the representatives of the Eluru City Jewellers and Bullion Merchants Association at the One-Town police station on Wednesday as directed by Eluru DSP K Eswara Rao.

Responding to the CI’s direction, the association representatives said that 68 percent shops are under the surveillance of CC cameras in the city and assured that steps would be taken to install cameras in the remaining shops soon. The association president, Pydeti Rama Rao, secretary Konakalla Damodar, joint secretary Nanguluri Satyanarayana, treasurer Kanigiri Mallikarjuna Rao and One-town Sub-Inspector NR Kishore Babu participated in the meeting.
