Bhogi celebrated with pomp
The NTR Municipal Corporation Stadium in Guntur on Sunday, celebrated Bhogi, with a high festive spirit.
Guntur: The NTR Municipal Corporation Stadium in Guntur on Sunday, celebrated Bhogi, with a high festive spirit.
The Guntur Municipal Corporation (GMC) Commissioner, Challa Anuradha, lit the bonfire and poured Bhogi Pallu on the children for their wellbeing. Speaking on this occasion, she said that they were conducting Bhogi Panduga in the stadium to celebrate the festival with the people following orders of the government.
She said that they were conducting the festival keep our ancient culture alive. She said that they were conducting Goleela Aatalu, Gali Patalu, Gangireddula Vinyasalu, Rongoli for women, Haridasu, Sampradaya Vantalu to reflect Telugu culture.
She said that the GMC was conducting programme for the wellbeing of the people of the city and urged people to participate in the programme and make it a grand success.
She said that during the three days, they would conduct Karra Samu competitions and cultural programmes.
