Municipal Corporation (VMC) Commissioner J Nivas has ordered the field staff to clear waste and garbage in side drains.The Commissioner participated in the field-level inspection of the city on Thursday. He visited Currency Nagar, Nagarjuna Nagar, Pantakaluva, Ramachandra Nagar and observed the drain water flow in those areas.

Vijayawada: Municipal Corporation (VMC) Commissioner J Nivas has ordered the field staff to clear waste and garbage in side drains.The Commissioner participated in the field-level inspection of the city on Thursday. He visited Currency Nagar, Nagarjuna Nagar, Pantakaluva, Ramachandra Nagar and observed the drain water flow in those areas.

The Commissioner observed the field-level anti-larva drive and door-to-door garbage collection. He gave suggestions to the field staff. He ordered the field staff to immediately clear the garbage piled up near the side drain and drop ML oil balls. He ordered them to clear the garbage and waste plants in the side drain at Pantakaluva for free flow of drain water.

About 27 breeding points were identified at Currency Nagar, Rama Varappadu, Gunta Thippa drain and Murali Nagar out flow drain. He instructed the staff to carry out anti-larva operation there. Chief medical officer Dr Arjun Rao, Health officer Dr Rama Venkateswara Rao, biologist A Nooka Raju, malaria and sanitary inspectors were present.
