Rajamahendravaram: On the last day of nine-day Nandi Natakotsavam selection competitions, as many as four social plays were staged at Sri Venkateswara Anam Kala Kendram here.Prapancham Nee Guppetloo by Kalavani of twin Godavari disticts, Bhaktha Ramdas by Vasavi Kana Nikethan Cultural Association of Dowleswaram, Chillarakottu Chittemma by Abhinaya Nrutya Bharathi of Eluru and Jagaa of Mee Kosame of Jangareddygudem were attracted the audience.
Earlier, the selection competitions were held in Tenali and Kakinada and the same competitions also be held in Nandyal and Kurnool.
Andhra Pradesh Film, TV and Theatre Arts Development Corporation is conducting selection competitions in five places. In Rajamahendravaram, as many as 42 social plays, playlets and padya natakams were staged. Later, the best plays and playlets will be selected to present in Nandi Natakotsavam to be held in Eluru in April.
