IT and Panchayat Raj Minister Nara Lokesh handed over cash prize of Rs 6,000 each to the final year Computer Science Engineering students of SRK Institute of Technology for presenting their innovative ideas and identifying vulnerabilities in various websites which run on online tender process of Andhra Pradesh state government’s e-governance wing at ongoing Cyberthon 2018.
Vijayawada: IT and Panchayat Raj Minister Nara Lokesh handed over cash prize of Rs 6,000 each to the final year Computer Science Engineering students of SRK Institute of Technology for presenting their innovative ideas and identifying vulnerabilities in various websites which run on online tender process of Andhra Pradesh state government’s e-governance wing at ongoing Cyberthon 2018.
Principal Dr M Ekambaram Naidu here on Saturday said that S Rajesh, M Abhilash, G Venkata Naresh and T Venkata Manoj Srivatsav received the prize money.
He said India's largest cyber security Hackathon, organised by Information Technology Department of Andhra Prasesh State Government in association with Andhra Pradesh Information Technology Academy (APITA), International Institute of Digital Technologies had organised the contest at Visakhapatnam earlier.
He said that the main objective of the Cyberthon 2018 was to create awareness in students about various upcoming cyber security issues and how to face those challenges, by providing Data Security and bring out their innovative ideologies in this context. Around 450 teams across the state participated in this programme.
BS Appar Rao, Chairman, SRK Foundation, BS Sri Krishna, Secretary, Computer Science HoD Dr D Haritha and other faculty congratulated the students for achieving the feat.
