Kakinada: A seminar on local bodies’ role in democracy will be conducted at the local D- convention hall near Kakinada Municipal Corporation office on May 13.
At a meeting organised here on Friday, the convener of the seminar and first batch (1987-1992) mandal parishad president Sabbella Gangi Reddy said that Lok Satta founder Dr Jayaprakash Narayana, Home Minister N Chinarajappa, ZP chairman Jyoyula Naveen Kumar and others would attend the semninar. The main agenda for the meet was strengthening of local bodies in the democratic set-up, Gangi Reddy disclosed.
First time MPPS of 1987-92 Gajjala Simhadri Raju, Attili Sitarama Swamy, Dr Alapati Srinivas and others participated.
