Nellore: News about the preparation of a Cabinet note on Telangana added fuel to the ongoing Samaikyandhra movement in the district. Students, employees, workers and members of various organisations came on to the roads on Sunday, even though it was a holiday. Agitators obstructed the vehicles at RTC circle in the town and laid siege to the Nellore RTC bus depot. RTC buses bore the brunt of their ire. The protestors deflated the tyres of RTC buses. gitations were also held in Gudur, Venkatagiri, Naidupet, Kovur, Atmakur, Udayagiri and Kavali towns.

Anantapuramu: There appears to be no let up in the intensity of the Samaikyandhra agitation as people continue to take out rallies, staging rasta rokos and forming human chains in Anantapuramu district. Similarly, the relay fasts of teachers and employees were on in the town for the past one month. Women launched a novel protest by sweeping the roads under the auspices of JACTO. The supporters of unified State said in unison that they are taking part in the agitation wholeheartedly sans intervention of political parties. The YSRCP leaders and workers took out a bike rally in support of Samaikyandhra in Shingalamala constituency of the district. The rally started at Clock Tower and culminated at Saptagiri Circle. Later, they squatted on the road and raised slogans in favour of united State.
Kadapa: A worker at KMC Constructions, Sambaiah, attempted suicide by consuming pesticides at the Samaikyandhra agitation camp in Khajipet on Sunday supporting the agitation. The agitators who are on relay hunger strike rushed him to RIMS where he is under medical care. The protests against State bifurcation continued on 32nd day in Kadapa district. The buses have been confined to the depots since one month.
