SI deployed for Sadak Bandh killed in road accident

Mahabubnagar/Warangal: Chinnappa of Warangal died in a road accident on the National Highway at Jadcherla of Mahbubnagar district while he was on duty as part of bandobust in connection with the Sadak Bandh on Thursday. A DCM van crashed into the police vehicle resulting in the death of the SI. Four Home Guards sustained injuries and were rushed to hospital here. Police took up investigation. Rich tributes were paid to SI P Chinnappa who died on duty at Jadcherla in Mahabubngar district where Telangana JAC conducted 'Sadak Bandh' on Thursday.A He was hit by speeding a DCM van while patrolling at Jadcharla on NH-7 in a police jeep and died on the spot. DIG Vikram Singh Mann, urban and rural superintendents of police A Venkateshwar and G Palaraju, District Collector Rahul Bojja and senior officials visited his residence and paid last respects. Chinnappa had joined the service as police constable in 1977 and now serving in special branch as Sub-Inspector. He belonged to Rapakapalli village of Dharmasagar mandal in the district.
