They said that they would continue with the agitation till Congress President Sonia Gandhi decides to roll back the decision to create Telangana state. The employees and teachers raised slogans in favour of Samaikyandhra and registered their protest by blind folding their eyes. Employees of the commercial taxes department also took part in the agitation.

The staff of Andhra Pradesh Audit Association expressed support to Sangareddy MLA Jagga Reddy for espousing the cause of Samaikyandhra. Wearing the mask of Jagga Reddy, they sat in a dharna at the NTR circle in the city on Saturday. Kurnool Municipal Commissioner PVV Satyanarayana Murthy led a huge procession comprising 4000 employees of the municipal department under the aegis of the Joint Action Committee (JAC) protesting against the division of the state.

He said that the people in New Delhi should wake up to the call of Samaikyandhra at least now. Later, they formed a human chain at Raj Vihar. Several municipal staff who were on relay hunger strikes were garlanded. The employees of the department of Animal Husbandry took out a mock funeral of Digvijay Singh and burnt his effigy. Doctors and nurses formed a human chain at the NTR circle. A bandh was also called on Saturday in the Kurnool district for forcibly disrupting the fast unto death undertaken by Y S Vijayamma. YSR Congress Party activists went around the city forcing the owners of the shops and commercial establishments to down their shutters.
