The YSRCP wants to win over the people of Telangana by driving home a strong message though the party had taken a pro united State stand it does not mean that it was against the wishes of the people of Telangana. The region wants to get separated because it feels that injustice has been done to it but YSRCP wants to send a strong message that the party views all the three regions equally and believes in developing them simultaneously.

According to YSRCP sources, this would be the main theme of the Samaikya Sankharavam slated to be held on October 26 at L B Stadium. Party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy will explain how the welfare schemes and developmental activities can go hand in hand successfully only if the State remains united.

Jagan, they say, is confident that if the party succeeds in sending this message across the region, then it would be possible to regain the base it had lost in Telangana after it took a pro united Andhra stand and also garner support in its fight for keeping the State united from all the Seemandhra people who have been in the region for long.

Sources said that Jagan was unhappy over the erosion of party’s base in Telangana after the YSRCP party took a strong line against bifurcation. Party leaders claim that Jagan wants to erase the impression that YSRCP was against the aspirations of the people of Telangana. He intends to send a strong message that for his party all the three regions Telangana, Rayalaseema and Andhra were equally important and that his party believes in developing all the three regions as it was done when Y S Rajasekhara Reddy was the Chief Minister.

Jagan, during his speech, is expected list out all the schemes including total number of farmers who had benefitted under loan waiver scheme, beneficiaries of free power, pension, Rajiv Arogyasri and other welfare programmes that were launched by YSR and implemented successfully in Telangana,” a senior leader told The Hans India. The sources said party was making all-out efforts to mobilise people in large numbers from Telangana districts particularly from south Telangana - Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, Khammam, Nalgonda and Mahbubnagar districts, where the party had considerable support.
