Addressing media persons, Agriculture Minister Kanna Laxminarayana said that GoM proposed to change the program schedule as personnel of the Revenue and Agricultural Departments were busy in enumerating the crop and property loss due to torrential rains that battered the State. He said that GoM now proposes to hold the Rachabanda programme from November 11 to November 26 instead of the earlier schedule of November 6 to 24.
Referring to the ration cards, he said that the government has decided to issue 18 lakh new ration cards during the program and 7.71 lakh new pensions including those of physically challenged persons.
