Transport Minister, Botcha Satyanaryana on Wednesday said that the government would take all measures to prevent such incidents. He said government has also set up a committee comprising Transport Commissioner to probe into the details of the accident. Action against those responsible for the horrific accident would be taken once the report was submitted, he said.
Botcha said the Volvo bus was registered in the name of Diwakar Road lines and was being run on lease by Jabbar Travels. He said the bus possessed all the necessary documents and permits but was in the rolls Road Transport Office (RTO), Bangalore. He said, the process of identifying the bodies was in the process.
Meanwhile, a case was registered against management of travels and driver of the bus under Section 109 (Punishment of abetment if the act abetted is committed in consequence and where no express provision is made for its punishment) 337 (Causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others) and 304-A (negligent or rash act causing death) of the Indian Penal Code, said Kothakota Inspector.
