CPI (M) state secretary BV Raghavulu on Sunday made it clear that his party would not make any suggestions to the Group of Ministers (GoM) on Telangana.
The Left party leader forwarded a letter to Joint Secretary to Union Home Ministry, S Suresh Kumar, in response to the letter sent by latter to the party, seeking its suggestions on bifurcation issue.
He said, “From the beginning, the CPM has been opposing the disintegration of any linguistic state, including Andhra Pradesh. Therefore, we feel that there is no relevance for responding to the terms of reference which are meant for bifurcation of the State.” The party, which has been fighting against the bifurcation of State, also asserted that it would vote against the separate state bill. The party was against the division of linguistic states and was committed to a united Andhra Pradesh, Raghavulu said adding that the party’s central committee took a policy decision against the division of states.
