Vijayawada: Two miscreants riding a motorcycle snatched from a man a bag containing Rs 7.99 lakh in cash in broad daylight at MG Road SBI Branch on Thursday. According to the ACP, DV Nageswara Rao, the victim, K Padmanabha Rao, 60, a resident of Patamata withdrew the amount in the branch at Labbipet for registration of flat. He came to the bank along with his relative and parked the vehicle on the other side of the road.

After withdrawing the amount, while he was crossing the road to reach his vehicle, a black color Pulsar bike approached him. The bike riders snatched the bag.
The miscreants applied force against Padmanabharao, who helplessly watched the duo snatch the bag. By the time he recovered from the shock, they took away the bag. The ACP said that they are suspecting the snatchers had also involved in similar snatchings that occurred in Guntur. A special team was deployed to track down the snatchers, said Nageswara Rao.
