Hyderabad: The depression over south west Bay of Bengal moved further west north-west wards and lay centred about 75 km east of Nagapattinam. It will move west north-west wards and cross the north Tamil Nadu coast on Saturday evening.

Under the influence of the depression, heavy to very heavy rain forecast at isolated places in Nellore and Prakasam, besides all districts of Rayalaseema during the next 48 hours.

Moderate to rather heavy rain or thundershowers will occur at many places in Krishna, Guntur, Prakasam and Nellore districts and at a few places in Rayalaseema. Rain or thundershowers will occur at isolated places in the remaining districts of coastal Andhra. Mainly dry weather will prevail in Telangana.

The Met office warned of strong surface winds blowing at a speed of 45-50 kmph along and off south coastal Andhra under the influence of the depression. It advised fishermen not to venture into the sea and be cautious for the next 24 hours from 1.30 pm on Saturday. On Friday rain occurred at isolated places in south coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema. Weather was mainly dry in north coastal Andhra and Telangana. Sriharikota in Nellore district received three cm of rainfall.

The lowest temperature of ten degrees Celsius was recorded in Adilabad as the minimum temperatures fell at one or two places in Telangana but appreciably rose at a few places in Coastal Andhra and at one or two places in Rayalaseema. Forecast for Hyderabad and its neighbourhood until the morning of November 18: Sky condition will be mainly clear. Fog/mist will occur during the morning hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 29 and 14 degrees Celsius respectively.
