Chittoor: Telugu Desam president N Chandrababu Naidu said on Tuesday that the party would resist if the Congress bigwigs tried to divide the State, without taking a rational approach.

Speaking to the media in Kuppam, Naidu defending his party skipping the Group of Ministers meeting, said that persons who were unaware of people’s problems were included in GoM. The party, he quipped, felt it was better not to attend, as it would serve no purpose.

He wanted the Centre to first hold a meeting with representatives of JACs, people’s organisations, political parties from the two regions to find an amicable solution and later take up the bifurcation.Replying a question on tie-up with the BJP, he said the right decision would be taken at the right time, declining to elaborate. However, he observed, the foremost task was to oust the Congress governments at the Centre and in the State for the sake of the people. Naidu faulted the CPI decision to go with the Congress. The TDP chief claimed that YSRCP president YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s proposed ‘yatra’ in the State was to only advocate UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi argument. Naidu said the party, to

intensify the fight against corruption, had resolved to take up a programme `Praja Garjana' from Tirupati on November 21. He would visit all 23 districts to expose the ‘rampant’ corruption of the Congress government.
