Sri Tridandi Srimannarayana Chinna Jeeyar Swamy laid the foundation stone for the construction of Sri Goda Ranganatha Swamy Temple at Kailasagiri, HB Colony, Moula Ali on Friday. The entire event was graced by Vedic chants by priests and devotees, who thronged the programme in huge numbers.
The organisers of the temple estimate the cost of construction at Rs 80 lakh. B Raji Reddy, Uppal MLA, allotted 500 yards of land at Kailasagiri for this holy cause.
Speaking on the occasion, Raji Reddy said that they were determined and with the blessings of the lord, they would complete the construction of the temple. “The funds for the construction came from the donors, few are sceptical about the task. But with the Lord’s blessings we will complete it,” he added.
HMTV and The Hans India Editor-in-Chief, K Ramachandra Murthy and other eminent personalities took part in the event.
