Hyderabad: The Telangana Gazetted Officers’ (TGOs) Association on Thursday submitted a report to Chief Secretary PK Mohanty opposing the move to transfer certain villages to East Godavari district.

Addressing the media persons, TGO president V Srinivas Goud said that they had submitted a memorandum along with resolutions of 147 tribal villages in Bhadrachalam revenue division, which have unanimously resolved that they want to be part of Telangana. The Association urged the Chief Secretary to send the report to Group of Ministers (GoM). He said that all most all the people in Bhadrachalam have been demanding the Centre to keep the revenue division in Telangana.
Referring to the claim of Seemandhra leaders on Bhadrachalam division, he said that they want to submerge the area to build Polavaram project. If the GoM agrees to their demand then the tribal hamlets and culture would vanish and hence, they were strongly opposing the transfer of the villages to East Godavari district.
