CM biased against Dalits, alleges Harish Hyderabad: Alleging Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy of neglecting welfare of SC, ST and BC communities, TRS deputy floor leader in Assembly, T Harish Rao said that the former was only worried about the plight of people in his native Chittoor district, and hence, was liberally granting funds and schemes without following due procedures.
Although Rs 1,200 crore funds were allocated in the budget for these sections, not a single penny was spent in the last nine months, he lamented. Addressing a press conference at Telangana Bhavan, Harish called upon Bahujan Ministers to confront the Chief Minister for his biased attitude, at least for the sake of communities that got them elected.
Kiran Reddy claimed credit for SC, ST Sub-Plans but none from Dalit or Girijan communities got benefited out of the said schemes, the TRS leader charged. The Chief Minister was able to get sufficient time to inaugurate various schemes in Chittoor district beside effecting transfers of IAS, IPS and even DSPs. However, he is not able to make up at least 15 minutes time for clearing files related to the deprived and backward sections, Harish rued.
Harish demanded that Kiran Reddy immediately approve plans connected to nine federations apart from hiking the subsidy given to SCs from Rs 30,000 to Rs 1, 50, 000. In the wake of State Cabinet meeting slated for December 3, the onus lies on the Deputy CM and others to get the much-needed clearances from Kiran Reddy on that day itself, he stated.
