Hyderabad: The special meeting of the Union Cabinet which was to be held on December 3 to consider and approve the GoM report on the bifurcation of the state has been postponed to December 5. It may be mentioned here that the Centre had decided to hold a meeting of the GoM on December 3, followed by the Cabinet meeting, and approve the recommendations.
It is learnt that the GoM has finalised the draft T Bill after over a 6-hour meeting with senior officials. The draft will be placed before the GoM on Tuesday and would be sent to the Cabinet.
However, late on Monday night, the government decided to postpone the meeting to December 5. It did not mention any reason for the postponement. Incidentally, the winter session of the Parliament is also scheduled to begin the same day.
