Organises protests, decries attitude of State & Central govts

Hyderabad: Protesting against the hike of LPG and diesel prices, CPI on Tuesday burnt the effigy of State and Central governments at Himayatnagar.
Speaking on the occasion, K Narayana, state secretary, said that on one hand the common man had to cope up with the ever increasing prices of daily commodities, transport charges and power charges, on the other hand the hike in fuel prices were pushing him further to the brink.
He pointed out that the government, which should have announced subsidy to counter balance the price impact from international crude oil, was actually putting huge burden on common man.
With the hike of Rs 66 for LPG, the women who were recuperating from the two month old hike of Rs 62 will feel the pinch. “People will now come to know about the conspiracy behind Cash Transfer Scheme,” he said.
Narayana felt that people, particularly women will teach a befitting lesson to the State and the Central governments when the time comes. This, he described it as the continued impact of World Bank on the India’s economy.
He demanded the government to immediately reduce the price and make arrangements that people get the subsidy.
