Hyderabad: The ministers from Telangana are learnt to have taken strong exception to certain unilateral decisions taken by Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy during the cabinet.
Ministers like K Jana Reddy and others reportedly criticised the Chief Minister for sanctioning Rs 5,800 crore worth drinking water project to Chittoor district. Kiran through PowerPoint presentation tried to justify his decision.
It is learnt that the T Ministers also objected to the decision of Kiran to inaugurate Pulichintala project on December 7. Jana Reddy and Uttam Kumar said that it was not proper to inaugurate the project while the displaced persons were yet to get compensation from the government. A majority of the displaced persons were from Nalgonda. Jana Reddy was said to have told the Chief Minister that the government should first address the problems of the people of the affected villages.
The two ministers said that around 6,000 families in Nalgonda and Guntur districts had been displaced by the Pulichintala project. They asked Kiran not to go ahead with his proposal to inaugurate the project till the problems of the displaced persons were addressed.
