Visakhapatnam: The Madhurawada police nabbed five persons, including their car driver, for allegedly trying to hinder the convoy of Union Minister Killi Kruparani, near Rajapulova, in the Bhogapuram police limits of Vizianagaram district, on Sunday evening.
When contacted, ACP Rangaraju told The Hans India that on receipt of information from the control room, the police were alerted. They apprehended five persons and seized the vehicle, which did not give way to the Union Minister’s convoy, despite repeated cautions by the escort team. He said it was an offence to obstruct the convoy of a VIP or VVIP, for security reasons.
