ticket collector killed sainagr shirdiLast night, a squabble between the ticket collector and a passenger Vamsi Krishna led to the death of the TC.

The train which was travelling from Chennai to Shirdi was halted near Mantralayam road last night. A fight arose between the ticket collector Sanjeevayyah and passenger Vamshi Krishna. This happened when the ticket collector came for inspection rounds to AC compartments. Two families were travelling in the compartment. One of the family member Vamshi Krishna complained to the TT seeking immediate action. There were also several other issues the TC had encountered on his rounds like passengers travelling illegally without having an AC ticket in the train, he was working to drive them out. But some how the passengers raised this water problem as a big issue and there was a dispute between the passengers and TC.
The train reached Mantralayam railway station at 2 ‘o clock in the morning and later the passengers and the TC went to the station head and reported the water problem as well as the attack by the passengers on the TT. The intelligent passenger after reaching the Mantralayam railway station changed his version of the fight and alleged that the TC Sanjeevayya robbed his bag which had rupees 1 crore. The TT who heard this died of a heart attack, it is learnt.
According to the doctors it was cardiac arrest and also said that the TT died because he was injured seriously in he attack and there were wounds on his body.
According to the station master “Vamshi Krishna didn't not allow the TC to fulfill his duties since the train crossed Aadoni station. Vamshi Krishna accepted that he had attacked the TC as he is not capable of doing the job,” said the Mantrlayam SM. Ticket collector Sanjeevayya had his duty till Vaadi of Karnataka
Four passengers were taken into custody and a case has been filed against them. The TC’s body was sent to the railway hospital for further post mortem process. Sanjeevaya was quite a senior person and hailed from Dharmavaram. The news was sent to their family members, said the Station Master.
