Warangal: The Telaganana government will be employee-friendly, asserted Telangana Rashtra Samithi chief K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) here on Friday.
He said the government would give top priority to the welfare of its employees, who need to play an important role in the reconstruction of Telangana. They would get due recognition.
‘The government and the employees would work hand-in-hand’ to make Telangana a prosperous and progressive State,’ he remarked during an interaction with the media and the representatives of Telangana NGOs’ Association.
KCR was here to attend the marriage ceremony of the party leader and former minister Kadiam Srihari. TNGOs leaders called on him at the residence of former DGP Pervaram Ramulu.
Leaders of TNGOs Paritala Subba Rao and others felicitated KCR, showering encomiums on him for making the dream of separate Telangana a reality after decades of struggle and suppression.
The TRS chief said a special ‘Telangana increment’ marking the creation of the State Telangana would be given to the government employees. Similarly, the government would come up with a comprehensive housing scheme.
Residential quarters would be built to accommodate the government employees in the district headquarters and in the State capital. TNGOs’ leaders would be involved in planning the housing scheme.
The employees would also be given scales on a par with the Central staff. Since the increment system in the State was effective, it would be retained and the Central Government pay scales would be adopted. ‘This is my promise to the employees that I will get it for you,’ he quipped.
Rao further said creation of Telangana was imminent for which the entire region’s population has made effort in unison. ‘Sometime back when I claimed that Telangana State would be achieved people used to laugh, now the dream is going to be true,’ he observed.
Telangana JAC chairman Prof. M Kodandaram and BC Welfare Minister Baswaraju Saraiah who also attended the marriage, interacted with KCR. TRS leaders B Vinod Kumar, T Ravinder Rao, P Sudarshan Reddy, TNGOs leader K Rajesh and others were present.
