Hyderabad: Not willing to give up their fight against the efforts being made to bifurcate the state and the manner in which the Draft T Bill was tabled in the Assembly by Speaker N Manohar on Monday, about 40 Seemandhra MLAs representing TDP and YSRCP sat on dharna inside the Assembly even after it was adjourned for the day at 3.05 pm. When last reports came in, the members were refusing to vacate the place despite requests by the Speaker through the Secretary of the Assembly.
They said they would continue the sit-in throughout the night. The police around 8 pm entered the Assembly to evict the MLAs. Police vans were brought inside the Assembly premises and waited for instructions from the Speaker. But on the directions of the Speaker, the police withdrew those vehicles. The high drama finally ended after midnight when marshals entered the Assembly and forcefully evicted them and dropped them at their respective party offices.
