Media Persons Protest at Assembly over Restrictio, State Assembly, Media Point. On the instructions of the Speaker, the police erected barricades between the media and the MLAs, who come there to air their views.
Hyderabad: The unruly incidents that were witnessed on Monday at the Media Point, in which some media persons also were alleged to have attacked some MLAs, resulted in tightening of security and imposing certain restrictions at the Media Point on the premises of State Assembly on Tuesday.
On the instructions of the Speaker, the police erected barricades between the media and the MLAs, who come there to air their views. Opposing the restrictions, media persons sat on a dharna and shouted slogans at the Media Point. Later some of the MLAs, including BJP MLA Nagam Janardhan Reddy, N Srinivas and CPI MLA K Sambasiva Rao expressed their solidarity. Sambasiva Rao also sat along with the protesting media men. They promised to take up the issue with the Speaker.
