Who will own these prestigious buildings located in the heart of the city of Delhi. So many speculations are going around. Some people feel that Andhra Pradesh Bhavan will be given to the residual Andhra Pradesh, while Hyderabad house will be given to the new state, Telangana. Some others feel that Hyderabad house will not be given to any state. Some feel that the ownership will remain with Telangana…so on and so forth.
Hyderabad house was originally built by the then Nizam in the year 1928 with 36 rooms. After the formation of Andhra Pradesh on November, 1 1956, Hyderabad house was taken over by the Union government to accommodate the foreign delegates. Even the Andhra Pradesh Bhavan was built by the Nizam, in 1956. As far as the ownership on ethical grounds is concerned, both are supposed to be owned by Telangana. But, what will happen in reality is matter of yet to be decided……!!
It is something like deciding the name even before the birth of the child. But, surely, the ownership of these two assets will soon be in the limelight, undoubtedly.
