Hyderabad: Narayanguda police on Sunday booked a case of medical negligence against two doctors and management of Aditya Hospital at Narayanguda following the death of a nine-month-old toddler.

According to the police, the parents took their baby, K Manish, to the hospital following some health problems in the early hours of Sunday. The doctors at the hospital demanded Rs 40,000 to be deposited to admit the child and initiate treatment. The child's father, Satish Kumar, a photographer with a Telugu daily, however, paid Rs 14, 000 towards advance.

But just minutes after admission, the child died. The parents blamed the doctors for delay in providing treatment that caused the child’s death. The parents, resident of Esamia Bazar at Koti, lodged a complaint against the doctors and the management.
