Ramagundam: At present, CCTV footings have become the main source of investigation. The tenants turned to be the thieves in Godavarikhani. In an incident that took place at Kalyani Nagar in Godavarikhani, the owner of a provisional store complained of a theft in his shop to the local police. Nagunuri Venkatesham and Anjali own a house in Kalyani Nagar in Godavarikhani. They run a provisional store at the ground floor and sub let the upper portion to a family, who has been residing in the same house for the past 9 years.
The couple has been very loyal to the owners. Before two years, the keys of the provisional store were lost. Thinking that the keys have been misplaced somewhere, Venkatesham has been managing with the duplicate keys. For last couple of days, the gold ornaments and cash has been missing one after the other from the shop. Almost 120 gm gold was theft during. Venkatesham has been suspecting his wife, which led for a duel between them.

With an advice from his close ally, Venkatesh opted for a CCTV camera. On December, 25 Venkatesham left for a nearby place, accompanied by his wife to attend a function. When he came back in the evening, he found gold and cash were missing from the shop. When he observed the CCTV footage, he found his tenants doing the crime. The accused have been taken to the police station and then left, just after a while. But, from the time they were left from the police station, they were not seen again. It is learnt that the accused have the support of a local political party leader. So, the police have been pressing Venkatesham for an outside compromise, sources added.
