Safety DVD in APSRTC buses
Safety DVD in APSRTC buses, Botcha Satyanarayana launched a safety DVD, Safety Demonstration. This would help create awareness amongst the passengers, he added.
Hyderabad: Minister for Transport Botcha Satyanarayana launched a safety DVD, which will be played in 300 high end buses of the APSRTC on the lines of ‘safety demonstration’ on flights.
Speaking at a function to launch the DVD at Bus Bhavan here on Saturday, he said that though there were 20,000 buses in the State, this facility would be introduced in 300 buses to begin with.
This would help create awareness amongst the passengers, he added.
On controlling the buses running at dangerous speeds, he said measures were being taken to ensure that the buses did not operate over and above the prescribed speed limits. The DVDs which run for 7 minutes would be played in three different languages.
Garuda Plus (41), Garuda (93), Vennela (16) and Indra (150) are buses currently having safety equipment like Fire Extinguishers and Glass Breaking Hammers on which the DVD would be played. APSRTC Chairman M Satyanarayana, MD Dr Purnachandra Rao and others were present.
