Heavy traffic on national highway, National highway No 9, Traffic on National highway. The toll plaza officials have opened sixteen toll gates to facilitate the traffic.

Nandigama: With a large number of people from Hyderabad returning to their native villages in coastal districts to celebrate Sankranthi, there was heavy traffic on the National highway No 9 on Saturday. It was estimated that national highway was witnessing ten times to the normal traffic. Every hour hundreds of buses – both RTC and private services – were travelling towards coastal districts of Krishna, East and West Godavari, Visakhapatnam and Srikakulam. Keeping in view the last year’s bitter experience of traffic jams on the national highway, the police and the toll plaza officials had made elaborate arrangements to streamline the traffic.
The toll plaza officials have opened sixteen toll gates to facilitate the traffic. Out of the sixteen gates of toll plaza, 12 gates for the traffic towards Vijayawada and four gates towards Hyderabad.
