Vamsi alleges grave threat from cop, Vallabhaneni Vamsi Mohan, P S R Anjaneyulu. The rivalry between the two in fact dates back to a controversy of lewd messages received by a woman doctor in Vijayawada.

Vijayawada: In a shocking revelation, the former president of Telugu Desam Party urban unit, Vallabhaneni Vamsi Mohan, on Tuesday complained to the DGP Prasada Rao against the Greyhounds IG and former Vijayawada Commissioner of Police, P S R Anjaneyulu, alleging that the cop was hatching a plot to eliminate him. Vamshi, along with lawyer Chiranjeevi, met the DGP and alleged that Ramanjaneyulu was instrumental in 26 encounters reported in different districts of the state previously. The lawyer said that a complaint was filed with the State Human Rights Commission with regard to fake encounters conducted by the IG, but the commission was yet to respond.

The rivalry between the two in fact dates back to a controversy of lewd messages received by a woman doctor in Vijayawada. The messages were reportedly sent by the police officer playing into the hands of Vamsi, who had allegedly lured the police officer into a trap in a bid to expose him in the public.

Vamsi alleged the cop was trying to eliminate him, using former Naxalites. Reacting to the complaint, the DGP reportedly directed Vamsi to lodge a written complaint with the Vijayawada police. It is said that Vamsi complied and gave a written complaint to the Vijayawada police against Anjaneyulu. Vamsi is also reportedly trying to get an appointment with Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy to apprise him of the “grave threat” from the senior police officer.

Meanwhile, Anjaneyulu refused to comment on the complaint against him by the TD leader. He said he was not aware of Vamsi meeting the DGP.
