Hyderabad: Lok Satta Party national president Jayaprakash Narayan on Thursday felt that impact of the T Bill getting rejected in both Houses was merely procedural. The Bill in its current form was a travesty of federalism by the Centre, as it had turned a blind eye to the consequences of bifurcation.

JP reminded that all political parties except Lok Satta had been using the bifurcation issue for their own selfish gains completely ignoring the impact on the people. The Lok Satta Party had suggested key amendments to the Bill to ensure a fair and quick solution to the process. The Centre must take note of this and incorporate the much-needed changes, if it was really interested in the welfare of the people, he said. If the Centre ignored the plea, Seemandhra region would face grave fiscal problems and even the progress of Telangana would be stalled, he warned.
