Hyderabad: The Telangana Coordination Committee on Thursday condemned the high-handedness of the Delhi Police towards Telangana women ministers - J Geeta Reddy, DK Aruna and Sunitha Laxma Reddy - during a protest at AP Bhavan on Wednesday.

It also slammed Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy for remaining a mute spectator instead of coming to the rescue of his female cabinet colleagues. Addressing a press conference here, TCC adviser and former MLC Chukka Ramaiah felt that insult of women ministers was an insult to the entire Telangana society. It is unfortunate to see that Chief Minister was in a jovial mood sitting inside the bus while police officials meted out ill treatment towards his Ministers. Kiran Reddy forgot that he is the Chief Minister of the entire Andhra Pradesh, which includes even Telangana region as well, Ramaiah felt. Meanwhile, TCC chairman Prof Dr A Gopala Kishan appealed to Telangana ministers to quit their posts in protest against anti-Telangana attitude of Kiran Reddy.

Treating women ministers with disgrace was murder of democracy. Congress senior leader Dr Sridhar Reddy, former Minister Purushottam Rao and T protagonists from 1969 movement S Gopal, Venkat Reddy and S Raghuveer respectively also spoke.
