KCR has been awarded a Master’s degree in Telugu Literature.

In the beginning, KCR lost in his debut assembly elections in 1983 from Siddipet constituency as a TDP Candidate. However, he has been successful in all the assembly elections held in 1985, 1989, 1994, 1999, 2001 and 2004 from Siddipet assembly constituency only. He served as a state cabinet minister and as the Deputy Speaker.

On April 27, 2001 KCR founded TRS Party and has been serving as the party president since then. He got elected as MP from Karimnagar Lok Sabha constituency in 2004 and 2006. He was even the union Cabinet Minister for Labour and Employment. He got elected as MP from Mahaboobnagar Lok Sabha constituency in 2009.

On November 29, 2009 he went on an indefinite strike which has ignited the current spell of Telangana agitation. Now all is set ready for the formation of Telangana, as the process reached the last rung of the tallest ladder. Hopefully, while KCR celebrates his Shashthi Purti, his Sankalpa Spoorthi may also get accomplished.

The Hans India team wish KCR a Very Happy Birthday!!
