Nizamabad: In a most heart-rending incident, three girls were allegedly abducted and were later burnt alive by their uncle on Wednesday. The bodies were found near Sudhir Reddy Engineering College on the outskirts of the town on Thursday. The triple murder of the little ones sent shockwaves across the State. The deceased were identified as Akshaya (7), Khushi (5) and Siri (9), daughters of three brothers Sai Reddy, Raji Reddy and Gandi Reddy respectively. The brothers are the sons of Raghupati Reddy, a former MPP of Danapalli village in Renjal mandal in the district. Sai Reddy and Raji Reddy live in Hyderabad, doing business. The assailant is suspected to be Narendar Reddy (35), a nephew of Raghupati Reddy, who is at large.
The half-burnt bodies were found by local farmers around 10 am on Thursday. Whether the girls were sedated before being killed would be known only after post-mortem. The DSP said Reddy lured the girls with chocolates and snacks while they were playing near their relative's flat here and took them away in a car on Wednesday around 9 pm, based on a complaint lodged by the girls’ parents. The children were taken to the bypass road on the outskirts, where Reddy allegedly poured petrol on them and set them ablaze and fled, Anil Kumar said. Narender Reddy was said to have called up his relatives on Wednesday that he was going to commit suicide as he was vexed over not being able to get married. When the police checked the call data records of Reddy, they found that he had gone towards Basar. Police found his car near a bridge. A pesticide bottle was found in the vehicle. One person informed Basar police that he had seen a man, resembling Reddy, sitting on the railing of the bridge. "Swimmers have been pressed into service. They have not found any body so far," Anil Kumar said.
Nizamabad Range DIG Suryanarayana and SP Tarun Joshi visited the murder spot. Members of the clues team collected some evidence. Joshi said Reddy had resorted to the killing because of financial problems and failure to get married.
