After reaching Shamshabad Airport around 1.15 pm, the TRS chief will board a helicopter to reach Begumpet Airport

The city of Hyderabad has literally turned into a pink fortress to welcome TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao, who will return from New Delhi on Wednesday after successful completion of his ‘mission to achieve Telangana state. Party functionaries are making unprecedented arrangements for his arrival.

After reaching Shamsha-bad Airport around 1.15 pm, the TRS chief will board a helicopter to reach Begumpet Airport. Around thousand priests from Telangana Brahmana Sangham will perform ‘Purna Kumbham.’ Later priests from Sikh, Muslim and Christianity will perform ‘all religion prayers’.

The mammoth procession from Begumpet to Gun Park will commence after this. Rao will be seated on a specially prepared Telangana Ratham. He will be accompanied by key leaders like K Keshav Rao and Naini Narsimha Reddy who would be seated next to him.

The procession would pass through Lifestyle, CM’s camp office, Rajiv Gandhi Chowk, Panjagutta, NIMS Hospital, Khairatabad, Shadan College, Lakdi-ka-pul, Ravindra Bharathi before reaching Gun Park.

Party functionaries and Telangana supporters will also take part in the procession. Telangana folk singers and artists will render popular songs to regale the crowd all along the route. With few hours to go for the important occasion, all routes and thoroughfares between Gun Park and Begumpet have turned into pink city with huge cutouts, flexis and banners.

Meanwhile police officials have made elaborate security arrangements for this programme. Traffic between the procession routes will be diverted from 2 to 7 pm, city police commissioner Anurag Sharma said.
