Woman battling for life due to wrong blood transfusion, Khammam Government Hospital, Mira Bi. Her condition further deteriorated on Sunday and relatives lodged a complaint over medical negligence with the police.

Khammam: A pregnant woman, who was allegedly administered wrong blood group at the Khammam Government Hospital, is in serious condition. The victim Mira Bi, six months pregnant, was admitted to the Khammam Government Hospital on February 23 as she was suffering from stomach pain. Hospital staff administered Mira Bi A+ blood group instead of O+ blood group which led to severe complications. As her condition was deterioratrd she was shifted to the MGM Hospital in Warangal. As proper treatment was not provided at the hospital, she was shifted to a private hospital in Khammam.

Her condition further deteriorated on Sunday and relatives lodged a complaint over medical negligence with the police.

Resenting medical negligence, relatives led by Women’s Organisations staged a protest in front of the Government Hospital. The Government Hospital Superintendent refused to give an explanation when media personnel contacted him.
