MSR resigns as RTC Chairman, M Sathyanarayana Rao, RTC Chairman, President’s rule. Necessary amendments have been made to facilitate him to continue as the RTC Chairman for a period exceeding 6 years.

Hyderabad: In a never cogitated manner, M Sathyanarayana Rao (MSR) had to quit his post of RTC Chairman. Down to the imposed Presidents rule in the state, all those who were in nominated posts have been asked to quit by the governors office on March 3. In this process, MSR had submitted his resignation to ESL Narasimhan, the state governor on Tuesday. For the first time, MSR was nominated as the RTC chairman in 1990 and continued in the post till 1994. For the second time, MSR held the post of RTC Chairman from November 2007.


Necessary amendments have been made to facilitate him to continue as the RTC Chairman for a period exceeding 6 years. MSR has even got necessary amendments to annul the prevailing zonal chairman system. It is however learnt that MSR has not been specifically asked to quit. He quitted just avoiding any future criticisms due to the imposed Presidents rule in the state.
