Hyderabad: The Cooperative Tribunal has viewed the matter of P Ashok Babu, the APNGOs’ president getting the membership in APNGO mutually aided cooperative housing society, seriously.

P. Srisudha, the chairman of the tribunal has taken up the petition filed by DLR Sudhakar, the superintendent at Srisailam Project Chief Engineer’s office. In her verdict, the chairman has momentarily cancelled the membership of Ashok Babu.
Reportedly, Ashok Babu has applied for membership in the year 2010. Nevertheless, the rules say that only those employees who have completed a minimum tenure of 5 yrs in the city are eligible for such a membership. The tribunal accepted the arguments of the pleader and gave the above judgment.
It is worth considering that while his membership has been cancelled by one society, the other society has elected him as their president. Amid a dramatic occurrence, the APNGOs held elections in APNGOs Bhavan. Ashok Babu was initially considered as a co-opted member and later elected as the president.
Group of leaders in Ashok Babu’s cluster said that they were not in receipt of the tribunal orders. Later, Ashok Babu said that he would approach the state high court on the very matter.
