Tirumala: The TTD has decided not to entertain recommendation letters from the MLAs or MPs as the state has been placed under President’s Rule. The recent visit of YSR Congress Party President Y S Jaganmohan Reddy’s visit ran into a controversy when he was accorded a VIP treatment by the TTD, who were asked by the Governor to submit a detailed factual report about the visit.
With both President’s Rule and Election Code in place, VIPs should also be treated like ordinary devotees and be devoid of special treatment. Chief Secretary PK Mohanty has issued orders in this regard. However, it remains to be seen as to how far the new order would be implemented as several VIPs make a beeline to Tirumala every day.
