Prof Nageshwar: Governments not serious about women’s bill

Professor Nageshwar, an eminent professor of Mass Communication at Osmania University and MLC on Saturday opined that women’s bill could not be turned into an act only due to the lack of seriousness shown by the competitive authorities.

He demanded for 1/3 rd reservation for women in the legislative institutions and gave a call for gender discrimination against women. He said it has been more than 15 years that women’s bill was accepted. Further, he said it is the only bill that could not become and act despite the fact that it has been accepted by the majority of the members.
